After the whole escapade with Martha much explaining had to be done in the town. After all was said and because the Preacher was known as a just and good man he was pardoned for his act. Things began to go back to normal in the town. Infact things were almost too normal for the Preacher. After living such an exciting life for a short amount of time he began to miss it. Don't get me wrong, he loved his new family and the life he had, but some part of him missed the adventure. He knew God would come to him when he had a new task for him however. So the Preacher would go out with his son and adventure throughout the town. This went on for a few years and the boy was now a mischievous 8 year old. He would always go about and try to find trouble. One day he went down to the town stables and watched as a cattle rustler brought in a new horse to the corral. The horse was large in every way. For the second part of my reading this week I have decided to continue to the Part B of the Inayat Jataka's Tales. All of these stories were fantastic, some of my favorites though were the Nobel Horse, Goblin Town (which I had read earlier in the semester), The World is Ending, and the Golden Goose. I particularly like the message that the story The World is Ending portrays for us. It is much like the Boy who Called Wolf. In this story a small rabbit is tricked to think that the world is ending and goes on to convince all other animals that this is happening. That is all animals except the mighty Lion. He investigates and finds out it was just a coconut that fell near the Rabbit and restores peace to the kingdom. The next story I liked most was that of the Golden Goose. It had some aspects that could be real and also reminded me of a book/movie that many have read, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. For the first week of free read, Week 12, I have decided to continue reading the Jataka's Tales. I love these short fun tales more than anything else we have read this year. The epics are great, how they build on one another, but the Jataka tales are great short reads that portray a message to the audience but also gives the reader something fun to read. This week I looked at the Inayat stories in particularly. My favorite story of the Part A reading was "The Guilty Dogs". Any story that has dogs Cute Dog Face in it I am going to like but this one was extra cute. I really got a tickle out of the story when the chief dog began to stroll through the roads of the city on his way to the palace. In the story the men were to kill all the dogs of the city and they were all ready, wielding weapons to kill the chief. The story says however, that due to his cute appearance they could not lay a hand on the dog. This was funny to me and reminded me of the movie Puss in Boots, wh...
